About

Yeow Hwee is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is also the Deputy Director of the Economic Growth Centre at NTU and the Assistant Honorary Secretary of the Economics Society of Singapore. 

His research interests lie in the intersection of macroeconomics and finance, with a focus on topics in household finance, behavioral macroeconomics, monetary economics and financial regulation. His work is dedicated to understanding macroeconomic policies and financial regulation through the lens of individuals' beliefs and households' financial decisions. 

Prior to his current appointment, he was a visiting Postdoctoral scholar at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the National University of Singapore and Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a member of the Association Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
